Personally, I hated Popular with a vengence (and still do) but I really loved TTATS (well, most of it anyway) so you might find that, for you, the new album is all that 'So Beautiful' isn't.

I'm not sure about the high bit... which is so funny considering I adore Insatiable because of it!

I will most definitely be sticking a vid in tonight and taping Capital from Sky. Then I can break the tape re-playing it over and over!

I must admit it's growing on me...it's definitely stood the test of my waking up humming it. It really surprised me that I didn't go 'wow' when I first heard it!

Those must have been sad days for you then Kat! It's so strange, because it was Insatiable that got me into the music, and I do love Spin. I think although a lot of fans were disappointed, there was enough of whatever makes Darren's music so special in that album for new people to be impressed. Though I do have to say that I did get Spin and Affa at the same time, and Affa definitely won out over ANYTHING I'd heard before, and still does.

Goes off to listen again.

Affa's an amazing album - one of the best, as is SG's debut one! [img]graemlins/thumbs_up.gif[/img]

Spin was ok-ish but I only really like about 4 tracks off of it, LION being the standout one for me. There were some bloody stinkers on there though, like IMY, Dirrty and Good Enough! [img]tongue.gif[/img] *shudder*

TTATS faired better with me b/c I only dislike 4 tracks on it so that's a pretty good batting average for a 13 track album, imo. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Having heard SB in full, I still love it! It's just got such a SG vibe to it.

For me the Savage Garden albums were some of the best I've ever owned, and at the time I loved Spin and thought Insatiable and SR were great songs, untill TTATS then for me it made Spin sound totally lame. At the time Spin was played non stop in my house but I very rarely listen to it now, it kind of feels really cheesy and a bit pukey to me.

I do like some of the songs on it though, Spin ( the track not the album) is a fantastic song and IMO should have been released as a single [img]graemlins/thumbs_up.gif[/img]
